Product description
The history of this herb stretches back to the tribes of Native Americans where Skullcap was used by the Cherokee Indians in a ceremony to introduce teenage girls into
womanhood. During the 17th century Skullcap was thought to be a cure for rabies with a Dr. Van Derveer claiming to have cured over 4,000 cases in both animals and
humans. His claim was soon brought to ground by a group of his peers but the names Mad Dog Weed & Mad Dog have stuck as alternative titles for Skullcap.
How Do I Use It
Skullcap Tincture can be added to water or fruit juice.
Serving: Traditionally Taken: 2-3ml up to 3 times per day or as directed by a Herbal practitioner. 20 drops from
the glass dropper equals approximately 1ml.
Quality and Manufacture
Only the best specimens of the leaf are used in our Skullcap Tincture. The plant material undergoes a process of cold percolation in order to extract the active constituents
into tincture form. This method employs a gradient circulation of the solution which keeps the plant ingredients in perpetual contact with the ethanol. More efficient than
maceration, this technique ensures there is less waste of precious plant materials.
