The DARCO® MedSurg Healing Shoe is ideal following osteotomy procedures Post Foot or Toe Surgery or as a Cast Shoe. It is built around the patented MetaShank® forefoot support which provides more rigid control under the metatarsal heads and better protection. The lightweight breathable mesh upper conforms to bony abnormalities of the foot and is reinforced to stabilise the rear foot and reduce slippage. It has plenty of room for your dressing to fit and easy to get your foot into. The square toe design acts as a bumper and the rocker sole reduces pressure on the forefoot and heel by 25%. The sole is non-slip and the shoe can be worn on the left or right. Please take extra care when choosing the size required, these are not a normal shoe but a medical device. Ensure you have measured your foot width and length and be mindful that there is additional room in the shoe for any dressings. Please refer to the sizing guide that provides all the measurements of the shoe. The shoe size indicated is reference as a guide only. Where possible take the measurements with weight on the foot, standing if possible, as feet can elongate considerably on standing.
