The RC-Cornet effectively frees the lower airways from stubborn bronchial phlegm, relieves dry coughing, reduces the need for antibiotics and the frequency of hospital stays. Areas of application are frequently recurring respiratory tract infections, shortness of breath during exertion, a dry cough, difficulty with expectoration of mucus, heavy productive coughing.

Application

After only a brief period of regular use, respiratory therapy with the RC-Cornet results in a noticeable improvement of symptoms in cases of chronic lower respiratory tract diseases such as bronchial asthma, COPD and emphysema, cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, or smoker’s cough. This physical therapy is well-suited for adults and children starting at three years of age.

Function

The RC-Cornet achieves an oscillating positive expiratory pressure (OPEP) during exhalation. Different settings are possible by turning the mouthpiece. Positions 0 to 2 dilate the airways, positions 3 and 4 loosen the bronchial phlegm.

Inhalation

In conjunction with the RC-Cornet Adapter with Mouthpiece which is available as an accessory, respiratory and inhalation therapy can be conducted simultaneously.

Cleaning

Hygienically reliable cleaning by boiling in a pot at a temperature of up to 100°C or in the RC-Clean Cleaning Bag for the microwave.

Use

We recommend use of the device three times daily, for two to five minutes.
